Laser Tattoo Removal

At Haus of Artistry, we offer safe and effective laser tattoo removal treatments to help fade unwanted tattoos over time. Whether you want complete removal, lightening for a cover-up or fading old cosmetic tattooing, every treatment is customised to your skin and tattoo.

We specialise in removing black and red ink tattoos, which are typically the most responsive colours to laser treatment.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

The laser works by breaking the tattoo ink into tiny particles underneath the skin. Your body then naturally clears away those ink particles through your lymphatic system over the following weeks.

Because of this, tattoo removal is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. Everyone’s body responds differently, which means results and the number of sessions needed will vary from person to person.

Things that can affect your results include:

  • Your lymphatic system and immune system
  • The age of the tattoo
  • Ink colours used
  • How deep the ink sits in the skin
  • Where the tattoo is located on the body
  • Your skin type and overall health

Some tattoos fade very quickly, while others can take more time. Some may fully remove, while others may leave behind slight shadowing.

Is It Painful?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients describe the feeling like a rubber band flicking against the skin.

To help make treatments more comfortable, we use ice packs to cool and numb the area before treatment.

You’re also welcome to use numbing cream before your appointment if you would like extra comfort during the session.

What Happens After Treatment?

It’s normal for the area to feel warm, red, swollen or tender after treatment. Some clients may also notice temporary whitening or “frosting” on the skin immediately after the laser.

Your body will continue clearing the ink over the weeks following your appointment, which is why treatments need to be spaced 8 weeks apart.
